As part of our commitment to proclaim the Gospel through our actions, Christ church started the project ‘Home for the Needy’ in the financial year 2018-2019, under the guidance of Rev. C Y Thomas. The aim of the project is to help members of our church and our outstations who are in dire need of a liveable home. The church will identify 2 or 3 beneficiaries every year who have their own small piece of land and provide them with financial help to a maximum of Rs. 5,00,000/-. In the annual general body meeting held on 21st July 2019, it was decided to make this a continued project under the new name ‘Home for the Homeless’. This project will be financed entirely by donations from our members, collected as cover collection in every quarter, four instalments every year.
The Food for the Needy project was inaugurated in September 2006 has been discontinued from August 2019. The project ran successfully for almost 13 years continuously by the continued and dedicated patronage of our members. A word of thanks to all who supported the project and may our God Almighty continue to guide us and bless us in our new project also.
