Rev. W. Scott started the Christ Church Sunday School during 1878-1880. It functioned at the Maharaja’s College. It was open to children of the British for a few years. Children from the English, Tamil and Malayalam sections were admitted to the Sunday School later. The Anglican Christ Church and the Marthoma Church at Pattoor jointly conducted the United Sunday School from 1920 at the Girls’ High School. The building at present houses the Malayalam Department of the University College. The Government gave approval for conducting classes for Christian students there to Study the Bible. The United Sunday School functioned there till October 1970.

The Sunday School Classes are being held physically at 8 am on all Sundays at the Centenary Hall in the Church compound. English and Malayalam medium classes are being conducted for children up to higher secondary school level. A dedicated team of teachers looks after the spiritual needs of the children.
